Beads.
Your child learns to see every number as a pattern of beads. Level by level, arithmetic becomes a hand movement rather than a rule to remember.

SIP Abacus turns a frame of beads into a mental calculator your child carries for life. Ages 6 to 12, 1000+ centres, online or in person.

The method
Why it works: the abacus is a bridge the child eventually stops needing. The frame teaches the hand, the hand teaches the mind, and then the mind goes alone.
Your child learns to see every number as a pattern of beads. Level by level, arithmetic becomes a hand movement rather than a rule to remember.
Then the frame goes away. The child pictures the beads and moves them in the mind. This is the visualisation that builds visual memory.
Finally only the answer remains. Speed Writing and Brain Gym exercises train the hand and the focus to keep up with the mind.
The promise
5×
SIP Abacus promises 5× better performance of your child in terms of faster and accurate arithmetic calculation, measured and verified with a proven, pre-defined method before enrolment and after completing the foundation course.

Your child's arithmetic performance is measured and recorded. That is the baseline everything is compared against.
Performance is measured again with questions of similar complexity, using the same proven, pre-defined method.
Faster and more accurate arithmetic calculation, before against after. The promise is 5× better performance, or your money back.
The journey
Ages 6 to 12. One class a week, two hours and fifteen minutes. Every bead is a level your child clears.
The lead-in course. Builds number sense and prepares children to enter the Foundation level.
The abacus course proper. Completing it is the point at which performance is measured again against the assessment taken before enrolment.
Four more levels of the same programme, each one a step up in complexity from the last.
The last three levels of the eleven. SIP's alumni list their Grand Master year the way you would list a degree.
Grand Master. Eleven levels done.

Many alumni of SIP Abacus have achieved extraordinary success at a young age, and almost all have done better than they would have without the training.
Try 30 seconds of mental maths.
Two-digit sums, one after another. Type the answer; it moves on the moment you are right. This is the kind of thing SIP students do without a frame.
